What to Do When You Are Quarantined

If you’re reading this, you are probably looking for some new ideas and ways to pass your time

at home. Even though this may be a difficult and stressful time, it is important to find the positives of the situation. I decided to put together a list of things that I have been doing or things that I want to do while stuck at home. Here they are:

Social things

+Spend time with your family (if you live with them) or spend time with your roommates

+FaceTime your friends and family 

+Try Netflix Party (Netflix Party is a Chrome extension for watching Netflix remotely with friends, e.g., for movie nights with that long-distance special someone. It synchronizes video playback and adds group chat) 

+Play a board game or card game 

Educational things +Read a book

+Listen to a podcast

+Read articles and stay up to date with the news

+Make a goals list - short and long term goals!

+Read blogs about fashion, travel, anything you can think of

+Write a blog

+Reddit random things


Lazy things

+Binge watch a Netflix show

+Pick a day and stay in bed

+Buy DisneyPlus (you won’t regret this) and binge watch oldies!!

Nature things

+Sit in your yard/patio and enjoy fresh air

+Go on a walk around your neighborhood

+Ride a bike 

+Find some grass (in a safe place) and lay down on a blanket/sheet...if you’re at home, open up a bottle of wine! 

Self Care Things

+Take a bath

+Work on your skin (washing twice a day + moisturizing)

+Face mask

+Put on self tanner (my favorite is Sivan Ayla’s Lux Unfiltered, No 32) 

+Paint your nails...or get creative with a home pedicure for yourself

+Exfoliate your skin (because who ever has time for that)

+Hair Mask

Food things

+Make a smoothie

+Try a new recipe

+Try new cocktail recipes 

Health things

+Do an at home workout (lots of free videos on youtube and IGTVs)


+Light a candle

+Try out Yoga (free online classes/videos on youtube and IGTVs) 

Random things

+Go through your emails: delete the junk, unsubscribe from annoying lists, etc

+Go through the pictures on your phone and organize them / clear out ones you don’t need! 

+Delete apps you don’t use

+Learn a new TikTok or watch TikToks

+Go live on Instagram or watch a live

+Write in a journal

+Make a list of “things I want”

+Organize your room, closet, drawers, bathroom, etc (this one is my fav!!)

+ Start scrapbooking for a recent vacation, upcoming anniversary gift, upcoming bday gift

+Learn or makeup a fun dance

+Go online shopping! (there are a lot of sales going on right now at: Windsor Store, Urban Outfitters, Nordstrom, etc)

Finally, I want to remind you that IT IS OKAY to not want to do anything. We all live busy lives and don’t always have the opportunity to just stay home. It is important that you listen to your body and your feelings. For many people, this quarantine is just an opportunity to relax and do nothing!! I hope this helped you find 5, 10, or even 1 new thing you can do during this time. And lastly, I just want to remind everyone to please STAY AT HOME!!!!
